Autism Behavioral Institute Secures Growth Funding from Decathlon Capital Partners

Applied Behavior Analysis therapy provider to support expansion through a company-friendly, revenue-based funding agreement

CHARLOTTE, NC. (PRWEB) JUNE 29, 2023 — Autism Behavioral Institute (ABI), a rapidly-growing provider of Applied Behavior Analysis “ABA” therapy for children with autism, has landed a significant investment from Decathlon Capital Partners. Details of the revenue-based funding transaction were not disclosed.

Currently located in five states, ABI will use the funding to expand into new markets and increase working capital to support adding new insurance payors. ABI is a provider of the only evidence-based treatment for autism (ABA therapy) supported by the U.S. Surgeon General.

ABI’s mission is to help maximize each child’s strengths while supporting their unique challenges. ABI provides services in clinics, homes, and community-based settings. No matter where treatment occurs, ABI works collaboratively with parents, pediatricians, and others to offer individualized therapy for children.

Rob Nicolai, Chief Strategy Officer of ABI, says, “Applied Behavior Analysis” helps teach children everyday skills, such as self-care, social and communication skills, and is an evidenced-based practice treatment by the U.S. Surgeon General and the American Psychological Association.” Access to care and early interventions are essential to successful therapy outcomes.”

ABI will repay its investment from Decathlon Capital Partners through ABI’s future revenues, thanks to Decathlon’s dilution-free, company-friendly funding approach. ABI was not required to give up any control of the company, and no equity or ownership was exchanged for the growth capital.

Chris Risey, Vice President of Decathlon Capital Partners, said ABI is certain to keep growing as the company expands to other states. “Autism Behavioral Institute’s commitment to an individualized approach to applied behavior analysis therapy has helped so many families,” Risey said. “Decathlon Capital Partners is proud to help them grow and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of children with autism.”
